Editor’s Notes: Nike looks to New York City’s many bodegas as inspiration for two new colorways of the Air Force 1. The iconic sneaker is optioned in either white or pink leather, featuring graphics that reference the plastic shopping bags that were once a staple in the small convenient stores. The tongues in turn bear a repeat Nike Sportswear motif, while the insoles are branded with a smiley face and the phrase “Have a Nike day.” Elsewhere, we see the midsoles adorned with a rose graphic. The “White Bag” and “Pink Bag” Air Force 1s are scheduled to release in Japan on February 24. A stateside launch is expected to follow on February 25.
